Williamsburg Conversation on Religious Tolerance and Peace

interfaith
The members of the Williamsburg Unitarian Universalist congregation invite you to join us in a dialogue on religious tolerance. We are concerned that voices in the media and some communities of our nation have been calling on us to treat Muslims with fear and hatred. We are being asked to believe that these beliefs and actions against an entire religion and its practitioners is patriotic and morally justifiable. In truth, all the major religious traditions call for their believers to live in love and peace with one another.

We believe that others in the greater Williamsburg area know that this is the time to speak up for religious tolerance and peace. We call upon our neighbors to join us in a dialogue which will help us build a community that will say “no” to fear and prejudice and “yes” to love and acceptance of one another.
