Basic Wine Appreciation
100315 Don’t be intimidated any more. We will discuss how wine is made, regional differences, hints on ordering wine at restaurants, wine store buying, tasting techniques, and how to find wine values. We will also look into the marriage of food and wine, talk about how to read wine labels, pricing, and wine storage at home. Wine myths will be uncovered, plus how to detect and deal with a wine snob. Finally we will confirm what we have learned with a wine tasting session. There is a $15 materials fee payable at the first class.
