WUU, Sanctuary
Friday July 16 from 6:30-8:30 in the WUU Sanctuary, the Racial Awareness Group will be showing “As We Forgive”, an Academy Award winning documentary which recounts the story of two Rwandan women on a journey to reconcile with the neighbors who slaughtered their families in the 1994 genocide. The film will be presented by Wilnette “Cookie” James who founded TROLI (Tree of Life International) to provide literacy training for the women and children of Rwanda. Cookie will speak of her own spiritual transformation in doing this work. After the one hour film we will have Q and A and light refreshments. The film is open to the public so please come out and bring family and friends! Admission is free but donations will be accepted for the TROLI mission in Rwanda.
