Soul Matters (Small Groups)

WUU is part of the Soul Matters Sharing Circle, a network of Unitarian Universalist congregations that follow the same monthly theme, serving as a web of support and connection. Soul Matters groups are monthly small groups, connected to our monthly worship themes, with a unique practice component that helps us not just think about the themes, but live them. Each month, participants receive a theme-based packet that includes spiritual exercises, questions that encourage reflection on daily living, and recommended resources that help participants explore the themes in more depth.

If you’re looking for ways to grow your spirituality and get to know other people, Soul Matters groups may be for you.

Join a group …
We have several ongoing groups in our congregation and announce signups each September. For 2023-24 groups, please fill out this form to express your interest and be contacted in September with more specific details. We always like to hear from those interested in a group, although sometimes there is not immediate space in an ongoing established group. Please email soulmatters@wuu.org to contact our Soul Matters coordinator for more information.

Become a Soul Matters Group Facilitator …
Let us know if you are interested in becoming a Soul Matters group facilitator! We have a formal training program and ample support resources for facilitators.

Monthly theme-based packet …
If you’d like to learn more about the unique approach of Soul Matters Small Groups, please download the Soul Matters Participant Guide.

Each month, Soul Matters offers a packet of inspirational readings, spiritual exercises, and questions for reflection.
