Welcome to Williamsburg Unitarian Universalists (WUU). As a visitor or newcomer, you are warmly invited to join us for worship and more.
Come to the Visitors’ Table in the lobby of the sanctuary.
On your way into worship services, please stop by the Visitors’ Table in the lobby of the sanctuary so you can meet someone from the Membership Team, get a special welcome, and pick up a nametag if you want one. Come back if you like after the service to talk, ask questions, and meet others in our congregation. Fill out a Visitor Information form if you’d like regular updates on our programs and activities or a permanent nametag. Pick up some introductory information about WUU and Unitarian Universalism, and help yourself to any of the many pamphlets available.
New UU Orientation programs are offered several times a year.
If you are considering membership in WUU, or you simply want to learn more about us, please take the Orientation Program, which is offered several times a year. The program consists of two sessions. Both sessions are held at the Fahs House on the WUU campus. The first session takes place on a Sunday afternoon. The second is held the following Saturday morning and concludes with lunch catered by people on the Membership Team. Besides providing information about WUU, the program gives you opportunities to reflect on spiritual questions and get to know a small group of people with similar interests. Childcare is available if requested by the deadline.
To become a member of WUU, you must either complete both sessions of the Orientation Program or transfer membership from another UU congregation. New members are formally welcomed and installed twice a year. See the Events Calendar for the dates of upcoming sessions.
Find a way to connect with others.
We also welcome your participation in any WUU programs that appeal to you—religious education classes, social justice work, music programs, covenant groups, circle dinner groups, and much more.
If you would like information about WUU events, activities, and programs, consult the weekly Spiral and the monthly newsletter. You can sign up to receive electronic copies by contacting the WUU office (firstname.lastname@example.org or 757-220-6830) or stopping by the Visitors’ Table. Also check the Calendar on this Web site.
If you have questions, please contact us by calling 757-220-6830 or by e-mail at email@example.com
Once again, welcome to WUU! As we say at the beginning of each service, your presence is a gift.
