WUU Service- 4/13/25 - “In-Seeing: How the Gift of Art Can Help Us to Truly See" Steve DeLaney Guest Worship Leader

The poet Rainer Maria Rilke wrote of the practice of in-seeing: how his writing, at best, allowed him to see another being in its fullness, simple and good and real. One of the gifts that artists give us in their work is we get to see the world through their eyes. More than simple representation, art can allow us to see more deeply, more honestly. It can resist our tendency to see everything in one dimension, and it has the capacity to invite us into deeper levels of consciousness that lead us toward the sacred. Join Steve DeLaney as we look together at some beautiful pieces of art, and as we work together to learn how to see this beautiful world, and each other, in a deeper way.
