Please join us for a discussion of some of the ideas of self-culture, individualism and nature as a source of spiritual experience that have shaped the Unitarian faith since the early 19th century in America. Starting with an exploration of Emerson through the Skinner House book, Emerson as a Spiritual Guide by Barry M. Andrews (available at uuabookstore.org or amazon.com), further meetings can explore the visions of Thoreau, Channing and other individuals inspired by the Transcendentalist spirit.
