Gosh, have we been having fun! Our first online Auction generated quite a few live events which we hope will carry over to next year’s online Auction scheduled, tentatively, for November 5 – 11, 2023! Here are some events coming up that you can still join from this year’s Auction!
Nutrition Class: Ingredients Matter: Friday, Feb. 3, 6-8 PM, Room 108, cost: $10 per person. This class is led by Lesa Craig and will explore hidden sugars in your diet and how to kick the sugar addition.
Make-and-Take Gift Class: Bath Salts and Candles: Monday, Feb. 6, 5:30-7:30 PM, Room 108, cost: $20 per person. This class is led by Lesa Craig. Please RSVP directly to Lesa at 757-532-5302 to ensure enough supplies. All ages and abilities are welcome, but please note we will be working with hot wax and essential oils.
Chili and Jigsaw Puzzle Contest and/or Bunco Night, Friday, Feb. 24, 6-9 PM, Gathering Hall, cost $20 per person (children 14 and older – adults). Children below 14 years are free, but no child care is offered. This event is being offered by Jess O’Brien and Carolyn Greathhouse.
Mad Hatter Tea Party, Sunday, March 12, 2-4 PM, Gathering Hall, cost $20 per person. All Ages. (You have to wear a crazy hat, or dress up like an Alice and Wonderland character.) No child care provided. Event offered by Marion Wolfe, Katrina Landon, Kate McGaw
Birding Trip to Bethel Beach, Saturday, June 10, offered by Dave Wilcox, cost $20 a head.
All you have to do is write a check for the amount charged for each event X how many you want to bring. Write the check to the WUU, and put in the memo line (Auction Event) so that Felicity knows which line item to add it to. You can either slip it under her door after the service, or give it to Katrina Landon, Auction Chair. I’m the one who does the announcements and is usually buzzing around after the service! We do need to know you are coming ahead of time!
