Lighting the Chalice
Liz Wiley

We light this chalice
for the warmth of love;
for the light of truth;
for the energy of action;
and for the harmony of peace:
Peace in our hearts,
peace in our community,
and peace in our world.

In-Person Giving: Place offerings in the dropbox in the Gathering Hall.

Each month we Share the Plate with one of the local organizations that provides a much needed service to our community. It offers us an opportunity to extend our compassion to others in need. This week, your contributions will go to Blooms that Brighten, an all-volunteer organization whose mission has now evolved to providing Flower Therapy Workshops to residents of local continuing-care communities (including memory care) and Hospice House. These sessions involve the residents creating their own flower arrangements, engaging their senses, spreading joy and providing a friendly visit to those who otherwise might go without much outside contact. Thank you so much for your generosity.

Extinguishing the Chalice
Liz Wiley

We extinguish this flame,
but not the light of truth,
the warmth of community,
or the fire of commitment.
These we carry in our hearts
until we are together again.
