It’s Time to UU the Vote!

Early Voting Starts September 18!

Let’s show Williamsburg we can’t wait another day to vote!

Some UUs plan to be at the polls quite early on Friday so they will be the very first ones in line. If you are willing, able, and awake, join other UUs at your polling place before it opens. Take some photos so that we can promote the fact that the polls are open and we are ready to act! For additional information and to share your pictures, contact Les Solomon at les.solomon@gmail.com.

Voting by mail?
If you are planning to vote by mail, please read the instructions on your ballot carefully! Most mail-in ballots are counted without a problem. Those that do get thrown out are usually disqualified because of voter error. Make sure your voice is heard — follow the instructions! Also, be sure to mail your ballot at least seven days before Election Day. Assume every step of the mail-in process will take more time than you expect. (And did I mention that you should read the instructions carefully?) You can track your main-in ballot at the Virginia Department of Elections website.

(If you vote by mail, DO NOT try to vote in person as well. Per the Code of Virginia, intentionally voting more than once in the same election is a Class 6 felony. If you have questions or concerns about your mail-in ballot, contact your local voter registrar.)
