Within the heart of the flower, the fountain of beauty
Within the heart of the community, a fire that warms and dances
Within the heart of each of us, a spark of the spirit of life.
Holy,

In-Person Giving: Place offerings in the dropbox in the Gathering Hall.

Each month we Share the Plate with one of the local organizations that provides a much needed service to our community. It offers us an opportunity to extend our compassion to others in need. This week, your contributions will go to FISH Inc., an all-volunteer, not-for-profit agency, providing help to area residents since 1975. FISH depends entirely on the generous support of WUU, other churches, and the greater community to provide food, clothing and shoes, cleaning and hygiene products, and small housewares to our less fortunate neighbors. FISH gratefully accepts donations of gently-used clothing and non-perishable food, but always needs cash donations to purchase new socks and underwear, to balance the pantry stock, and to pay the rent. Thank you so much for your generosity.

Extinguishing the Chalice
Susan Marcinkus

We extinguish this flame,
but not the light of truth,
the warmth of community,
or the fire of commitment.
These we carry in our hearts
until we are together again.
