Lighting the Chalice
Ben Thacker-Gwaltney
We light this chalice
for the warmth of love;
for the light of truth;
for the energy of action;
and for the harmony of peace:
Peace in our hearts,
peace in our community,
and peace in our world.

In-Person Giving: Place offerings in the dropbox in the Gathering Hall.
Each month we Share the Plate with one of the local organizations that provides a much needed service to our community. It offers us an opportunity to extend our compassion to others in need. This week, your contributions will go to Housing Partnerships, which has been serving James City County, York County, and The City of Williamsburg since 1985. Their unique strength is the formation of true partnership between communities, volunteers and neighbors in need to achieve the goal of safe, warm, and dry housing. Their mission is to repair substandard housing in the Historic Triangle, with repairs including roofing, plumbing, floor, HVAC, and home modifications for people with disabilities or aging in place. Thank you so much for your generosity.

Extinguishing the Chalice
Ben Thacker-Gwaltney
We extinguish this flame,
but not the light of truth,
the warmth of community,
or the fire of commitment.
These we carry in our hearts
until we are together again.
