“What’s Broken is Brilliant” by Dr. Barbara ten Hove

Our broken places may seem sharp and painful. Yet, it is often within brokenness that the brilliant if jagged edges of who we are shine. Can we find meaning and hope in a broken self? In a broken world?

(The Rev. Dr. Barbara ten Hove is co-minister of Cedars UU Church, Bainbridge Island, WA. She has served our ministry for 25 years, half of them in co-ministry partnership with her husband Jaco. She is a native of Virginia and a lifelong UU.)
