Spiritual Practices at WUU

As Unitarian Universalists, it’s essential that we nourish our spiritual exploration with meaningful practices that deepen our connection to ourselves, each other, and the wider world. Whether you’re exploring new avenues or deepening familiar ones, these opportunities offer diverse paths to enrich your spiritual journey. Discover practices that resonate with you and support your growth, balance, and well-being with some opportunities that will be available at WUU throughout the year.

Little Sanctuary on Sundays:

This fall, we’ll be trying out something new on Sundays before the regular worship service by having an intentionally meditative space in the Little Sanctuary. Various soundscapes will be shared, including chimes, singing bowls, nature sounds, and eclectic soundscapes. Sound will be going by 9:15 each Sunday, and folks are welcome to come and go as they wish. Please do your best to respect the peacefulness of the space (i.e. please have conversations elsewhere).

Soul Matters and Soulful Home Packets:

WUU is a Soul Matters congregation, and we have small groups that engage with the Soul Matters themes and packets. Our worship services and religious education classes also work with the themes, and Soul Matters can be used individually as well. The Soul Matters packets for small groups are also great for individual practice, and they are available on a stand to the left of the Welcome Center. WUU has also just subscribed to Soulful Home packets, which are great for families to use at home. They are available at the Religious Education station in the Gathering Hall. There will also be QR codes for accessing both on the Soul Matters stand to the left of the Welcome Center.
