Sunday, May 21, at 10:00 am: “Co-Creating!” led by Rev. Laura Horton-Ludwig, Minister, & Austen Petersen, Director of Religious Education

It’s a festival of creativity! During this outside-the-box, family-friendly service, you’ll have the chance to try out a whole range of creative group activities for both in-person and online participants. You can explore music, movement, visual arts, or even creative dessert-making, then take part in a whole-group celebration of what we’ve created together.

Sunday, May 28, at 10:00 am: “More than a Metaphor: The Flower Communion Turns 100,” led by Rev. Laura Horton-Ludwig, Minister

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Flower Communion, first developed by Czech Unitarians as an anti-Fascist practice. Each person brings a flower and takes another flower home, as a sign of the beauty and worth in each person. Today we’ll explore what it’s like to treat the flowers–and by extension, all living things–with the same respect we give to each other.

You’re invited to bring a flower to the service, either in person or online. Before you do, please try a playful experiment: ask the flower’s permission first, and notice what it’s like to do that. To be continued!
