October’s Monthly Theme: The Gift of Heritage

Sunday, October 15, at 10:00 am: “Flourishing through Chronic Too-Muchness,” led by R. Kelly Crace, Ph.D., Guest Worship Leader

Our relentless world of demands, uncertainty, pace, and noise can be overwhelming. In 2019, our normal was over-worked and stressed; in 2020, it drifted into overwhelmed and strained, and has not completely left us. How do we allow for the honesty of being affected by life and still function and perform at a level we hope or expect of ourselves? This discussion explores evidence-based strategies to flourish while managing absurdity and challenge.

Kelly is the Associate Vice President for Health & Wellness and the Director for the Center for Mindfulness and Authentic Excellence (CMAX) at William & Mary. He is a licensed psychologist and the co-author of Authentic Excellence: Flourishing & Resilience in a Relentless World, Authentic Excellence for Organizations, and the Life Values Inventory.
