Members of the York-James City-Williamsburg NAACP will conduct a walk-in session on the restoration of civil rights, including voting rights. Ex-felons who qualify will be assisted with their application to the governor for the restoration of their civil rights.
If you are an ex-felon you may qualify for the restoration of your civil rights (including voting rights) if you meet the following conditions:
- Have been convicted of a non-violent felony in a virginia court, or a u.s. district court or a court of another state
- Have completed serving the prison sentence and have been released from probation or parole and
- Have paid all court costs, fines to the commonwealth and restitutions to the victims, satisfied all court-ordered conditions, and have no pending charges.
