On March 11, 2019, we completed our solar project! We are so proud that our congregation was able to complete this project so quickly. We are truly fulfilling our vision as a green congregation, reducing our impact on the environment, and making the world better for future generations. You can see our production at WUU SOLAR.

In 2012, when WUU was certified by the UUA as a Green Sanctuary, we described our vision for Williamsburg Unitarian Universalists as a place where each individual considers their environmental impact in every action. A collective awareness is reflected in congregation policy and in every area of congregational life. We are empowered by a commitment to environmental justice. We envision a congregation whose every decision comes from an understanding of our spiritual connection with the Earth and all living things. We demonstrate this understanding through worship and celebration, religious education, environmental justice, and sustainable living. As we travel this journey, we will in turn grow deeper spiritual connections with each other, in our congregation, and in the wider community.
