“What Can I Trust? A Lesson on the Good Samaritan” - Rev. Kali Cawthon-Freels, Guest Worship Leader

In a time when social media and biased reporting tell us what to believe about people who are different from us, how do we know who to trust? Perhaps visiting a familiar story in a new way can help us connect to what Celtic spirituality calls our innermost knowing.

Rev. Kali Cawthon-Freels is the Pastoral Resident at Williamsburg Baptist Church, where she works with youth and young adult spiritual formation and worship leadership. She is also the director of the Faithful Pride Initiative at Good Faith Media, for which she is a regular Contributing Correspondent. Kali writes about queer spirituality, the dangers of Christian Nationalism, and the value of deconstruction. When she’s not pastoring or writing, she likes to play nerdy board games with her wife, and cuddling with their two adorable cats.
