Support from UUA’s Southern Region & Task Force Links to Congregation & Staff
From the Ministerial Transition Team:
Support from UUA’s Southern Region Rev. Tyler Coles
Tyler reminds us that these are anxious times, times of uncertainty as we are temporarily without a minister, and also times of uncertainty and upheaval culturally and politically. He reminds us to be mindful of how we are together and to keep the following in mind:
Continue offering Sunday services that meet the spiritual needs of the congregation. Liz Wiley and the Worship Associates have provided a strong, meaningful, and often moving slate of speakers.
Have a clear purpose.
Deal with conflict up front and early.
Offer deep fellowship with one another.
Provide monthly news/communication with the congregation.
Create and publicize a chart for who is responsible for what.
Rev. Coles also reminds us that we will begin a developmental ministry in August—and to refrain from starting new activities before that minister arrives.
