WUU Ministerial Search in Process!!

Last Tuesday (March 11), your Developmental Minister Search Team met to open the important email from the UUA Transitions Office. We knew that we were one of four UU congregations nationwide that decided to seek a Developmental Minister rather than the traditional Settled Minister route as we have done in the past. Mount Vernon UU in Alexandria, plus one congregation in Massachusetts and another in Wisconsin also opened their email list (though we don’t know who was on their list). We found out that four candidates had applied to be our new minister. We have been busy reviewing resumes, sermons, congregational profiles, and references in preparation for interviews later this week. 

Next week, we will submit our ranked preferences for these candidates to the UUA Transitions Office and their staff will match our preferences with the candidates’ preferences. We will know in late March about the results of the process. Until that time, cross your fingers and hold us in your thoughts. Know that we are doing our best to select the best candidate.
